What's your favorite soundtrack?
Easily the soundtrack to 2001: A Space Odyssey.
It's the best use of music in a movie that i've ever heard. the way existing classical pieces are used to set the tone of the film is literally awe inspiring. If anybody knows where i could get a copy of the soundtrack on vinyl that would be totally sweet.

all my friends are here, plus the fact we can hang out in a bomb shelter 24/7 and play music is pretty sweet too.
Well it's been a while since I posted so I figured I would just stop by and drop some awesome off on you chumps.
First off me and Brian had an interesting conversation that went a little something like this
first off i finally picked up Earth 2
and wow.. if you like drone or smoke alot of weed, buy this album. now. it slays. second album i picked up is a factory sealed copy of Tonto's Expanding Head Band's Zero Time. which i would basically describe as being two dudes who are on drugs turned loose on a couple of old Moogs. other than that things are going well. look for further updates at a later date.Check out this dude's fucking mustache. and the guy singing back up vocals.
What would you do if you had one day to live and you were still young and healthy?
Submitted by Green Tea Adelaide.as many drugs and women as i could get my hands on. because i'm still young and relatively healthy.
How did you celebrate Valentine's Day?
Submitted by Stephen.by being lonely and listening to Bobby Darin's Dream Lover probably upwards of 20 times.
I suppose I may as well use this time for a lil update. I got a car. it has a tape deck. so lately i've been on a steady aural diet of blues tapes, and Tone Loc's Loc-ed after dark. which i got a thrift store for fifty cents. i also managed to score a four tape roots and blues compilation that is like easily one of the best musical values i've ever gotten. the tapes are 120 minutes tapes so you add that up it's like eight hours of music for about as many dollars. ooh and i have scored some new records i should probably spout off about. first up is Josh White's In Memoriam, pretty much an amazing album. if you ever wondered where the hell Guy Blakeslee found inspiration for his vocal performances look no further than Josh White.
Next up is Peppermint Rainbow's Will You Be Staying After Sunday. It's a pretty good example of the weird soft psyche sixties pop shit I love, complete with male/female vocal harmonies. Pretty much a winner.
Then while i was perusing the budget bins at the Record Exchange I found, for the low price of 99 cents, a pristine copy of Starland Vocal Band's epynonomous debut album. Suck on that Bri-Dizzle.
yeah for sure there's just so many good ones out there. i recently got a three cd box set of... read more
